Word-Eating Monster
Illustrations for magazine Futureparenting September issue.
The little monster in the story loves eating words, especially those that have a sweet flavour.
Bear Xuebi came across him one day, and a number of intriguing stories began to unfold.
The First sketch:
I create the illustrations in accordance with each page's narrative.
However, the design and images are too simplistic and juvenile.
I will adjust the picture in the second sketch.
The Second Sketch:
The client anticipates that "words" will be drawn and expressed using symbolic letters.
They also anticipate that the picture will have greater expressive depth.
Final Colour Version:
In addition to comprehensive coloring,
I changed the layout of several pages and employed various hues to denote the flavors of the "words."
